Urticaria is a kind of skin rash with red, raised, itchy bumps. They may also burn or sting. Often the patches of rash move around. Typically they last a few days and do not leave any long lasting skin changes. Hives frequently occur following an infection or as a result of an allergic reaction such as to medication, insect bites, or food. Many different substances in the environment may cause urticaria, including medications, food and physical agents. The most common food allergies in children are shellfish, nuts, eggs, wheat, and soy. Urticaria can occur right away, precisely after a pressure stimulus. Psychological stress, cold temperature, or vibration may also be a trigger. In half of cases the cause remains unknown. Risk factors include having conditions such as hay fever or asthma. ‘Cervical spondylosis’ is a degenerative process of the cervical spine involving the bones, discs, and joints of the neck producing narrowing of the spinal canal and neural foramina, producing compression of the spinal cord and nerve roots, respectively. The degenerative disc disease progresses with increasing age and is prevalent in middle-aged and elderly patients and usually produces intermittent neck pain In most people older than age 50, the discs between the vertebrae become less spongy and provide less of a cushion. Another factor might be a previous injury to the neck. People in certain occupations or who perform specific activities. Poor posture might also play a role in the development of spinal changes that result in cervical spondylosis. The symptoms of cervical spondylosis include:

  • Pain in the shoulder or arms
  • Tingling, numbness, and/or weakness in the arms, hands, legs, or feet
  • Giddiness or Vertigo

Symptoms are most severe in the morning and again at the end of the day.
